Visit of Local wholesale market

After a wonderful trip to Kluang the team enjoyed catching up on the sleep on the 4-hour trip back from Kluang to KL. Once in KL the team checked into our favorite hotel in KL, the Aloft hotel outside of KL Sentral.

The next morning we awoke bright and early to head to the wholesale market. By bright and early we mean to say we were bright eyed and bushy tailed in the van by 6 A.M. Okay, we might not have been so bushy tailed but our team did arrive at the late hour, by Malaysian vegetable wholesalers standards, of 6:30 A.M to the market. At the market we were able to interact with the wholesale buyers and learn about their experiences with selling and dealing with organic vegetables and fruits. After this early morning we were able to go and visit the Batu caves, a Hindu temple in a giant sandstone cave. After this thrilling cultural excursion, which included climbing all 272 steps to lead to the entrance of the cave. The team headed to perform some market research in the local supermarkets. After visiting several stores, we were able to gather information about the prevalence of organic in this city.

On Sunday the team had our lovely day of rest. Some of us opted to explore the city while others opted to do as the locals and rest by the pool to escape the heat. All enjoyed a day to recharge for the work that remains!
